FAQs

Our rapidly expanding network uses tried & true point-to-point radio technology in combination with the advanced technology of air fiber, which has a lower latency than standard fiber optics. There are no data caps on our service (100% unlimited with no throttling), rather we price according to speed bandwidth.

Your speeds will never be altered for any reason and all of our pricing is upfront, so you never have to worry about hidden charges. We do not apply sales tax, however there is a small processing fee applied to each transaction. Here is a brief overview of our service packages (pricing is based on a 2 year performance based contract and convenient auto-pay billing).

infinaSky’s internet service is a ground based fiber network so our service has no latency as the signal is not traveling to satellites orbiting the earth. Our service also uses proprietary technology with our service which enables our signal to penetrate wooded areas better than most wifi services.

Currently, we are booking installations out a few weeks. For that reason, if you have a time sensitive need for our services, please contact our office, at your earliest convenience to reserve your installation date. Additionally, we have the option for our customers to be on an “on call list” for a possibly early install.

Additionally, we have the option for our customers to be on an “on call list” for a possibly early install. This does require flexibility in your schedule so please notify the office while scheduling your appointment if you would like to be placed on this list. Please note: by being “on call” customers do not have a guaranteed early installation appointment.

We charge an installation fee of $99, which includes tax and equipment. We also do tree and mast installations, should you have any trees that would obstruct the signal to your rooftop. As stated, there must be a direct line-of-sight between the radio and the tower, as it acts as a point to point bridge for the signal. Tree installs are an additional $125 (as more time and labor is involved with this type of installation).

If a tree install is needed to obtain line of sight to one of our towers, we must place lags in the tree to safely climb to the highest elevation. It is safe for the tree, but know that we will be unable to remove them should we not be able to obtain line of sight from that location.

Because of our network’s reliability, we do guarantee 80% (wireless) and 90% (wired) speeds when using our full solution. Our service agreement contains a performance clause, which ensures that our customers get what they are paying for. A performance-based contract protects you from being bound to us as a service provider if you are not getting the speeds you sign up for. Additionally, our customers are grandfathered into the pricing for as long as they are a customer.

Should you be interested in signing up for service with us, the next step would be to collect your payment information (installation and first month of service) and reserve your date on the schedule. A member of scheduling staff will reach out the day prior to your appointment with an arrival time for the technician(s). At installation there must be someone over the age of eighteen present.

With regard to tree installations, occasionally but not often, the technicians are not able to establish a clear line of sight from a tree close to the home.

In these special cases, we would need to use a:

  • power supply ($40)
  • a short-haul extension system (25ft-800ft/$125) OR
  • a long-haul extension system (801ft-1600ft/$250).

The distance that the radio needs to be from the home and the terrain would determine which method the technician(s) would need to use.

If either a short-haul or long-haul extension system is needed, there’s an additional monthly cost of $15 for the extension protection plan, which is required.

Following the site survey, the technicians would discuss these options with you before moving forward, so you will know exactly what would be needed to obtain service.

All site surveys are done on the day of installation, just prior to. In the rare event that line of sight cannot be established by a technician, we then issue a refund of the initial payment, for the exception of a $50 site survey fee (this fee helps cover the time, labor, and travel involved).

Twenty-five feet of trenching is included in every tree install. The charge for trenching is $.75 cents per foot, OR, to avoid this charge, you are more than welcome to trench the line in yourself.

If it is decided that we will be trenching your line, it is mandatory that you make the necessary arrangements with Miss Utility and have the lines marked prior to install day, which is a free service. There is also a trenching waiver that must be signed prior to the trenching being completed.

To get your installation scheduled, we collect the installation fee + first month of the speed pkg + first month of the Whole Home Wireless (if you will be using our wireless solution).

If you will be using your own router and managing your own WiFi, you would pay just the installation fee and first month of the speed pkg cost to get scheduled.

We take the initial payment and put it toward the customer’s equipment and supplies, as it helps us grow, stay ahead, and continue to build out this massive rural fiber network as we are.

Feel free to call us with your payment information when you’re ready to be put on the schedule.

Usually it takes a few days up to a week. We do get very busy from time to time and in those cases it can be longer. Just check with us to see if there is a wait in installations.

If you choose our wireless solution, Whole Home Wireless, you will be provided with a free commercial grade wireless access point, which will distribute the wireless signal throughout the home. This service simply allows us to identify and resolve issues more quickly. Whole Home Wireless is not a rental fee for equipment, rather it is an optional WiFi monitoring service that we offer.

Signing up for this service means that your WiFi becomes our responsibility, and it allows us to access the wireless device remotely, so that we can often resolve issues without scheduling a service call. If a customer uses their own router, we are unable to access it and resolve issues remotely, therefore the WiFi would be their responsibility (as we can only monitor/access the service from the radio to the power source in this case).

Whole Home Wireless monitoring is an additional $15 per month for a residence under 5000 sq ft (1 access point) and $30 per month for residences over 5000 sq ft (2 access points). If the home has two floors, one access point will cover 2500sq ft per floor. Let us know in advance if you’ll need a hardwire connection in addition to wireless. There is a $50 charge for this.

To update your network password email us at support@seiontec.com with your name and the best number to reach you at plus the account holder’s name, email and both the current password and new password. Our team will reach out to you as soon as possible.
